Vehicle Decals/Temporary Passes/Driver’s licenses

First things
first: if your vehicle does not currently have official Department of Defense (DoD) decals for in and out base
privileges, you must first stop by the Pass and Tag Office located at the Yorktown Avenue Main Gate entrance for
permanent decals for each of your vehicle(s). In order to be given official DoD decals, you must provide
PCS orders, a valid driver’s license, vehicle registration papers, and proof of insurance. Please be advised that the hours for Pass and Tag are: 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for DoD decals and 7:30
a.m. to 11 p.m. for temporary passes.
Additionally, a
new online system now allows you to easily renew expiring DoD decals without making the trip on base and saving
you considerable time. Please log onto: https://www.pid.cnic.navy.milto start the
Vehicle Renewal Form. Please click on the “Who Can Renew Online?” tab to see if you are eligible and if the base
where you received your existing decal is listed. If you are eligible, please click on the “Before you Begin”
tab to see the list of documents you need to fill out the online form. After submission and your application is
processed, you will receive your new decals, locator strip, and date tabs at the mailing address you provided.
Although you are
not required to do so, you may also get a driver’s license for the state of Florida if you do not currently have
one or have one from another state. Please visit the Department of Motor Vehicles for the state of Florida
at http://www.gathergoget.com/and fill in the
applicable information to have a personalized checklist of required documents needed to receive a Florida
driver’s license as well as applicable fees and the nearest driver’s license office closest to
you.
